Large Geometrics

In manipulating my personal photographs through layering, extracting, rotating, and collaging on the computer, I aim to bring design to raw nature. I summon up a new, exciting world of my own creation that is still anchored in its original inspiration—the mountains and canyons of the Southwest. Think of the manifold richness, the raw materials of wind and water erosion operating on the sediments of ancient seas. Over eons, they produced the multiplicity of form that characterize a Southwest scene. They are my tropes, the wellspring of my idiom, and a place where I find peace, recorded initially in digital medium then transformed into my own creation. Hand drawn lines complete the composition.
