Tidal pools at the edge of the ocean depend on a wind driven inundation of seawater to replenish their nutrients and sustain the multitude of creatures that thrive there. This composition, although it uses images of rocks as its base, creates a similarly rich environment of shapes and colors that entice us in for closer examination. Through the power of computer-manipulated images and hand stitching, I have created my own world—one which evokes the richness of the earth we live on and the cycles of life that inhabit it. I hope that viewers will see the intricacies of nature’s designs in a new way.
